As I mentioned in the inaugural post, my hypothesis is that not eating like a pig and moving my butt more will make a significant, positive impact on my cholesterol levels.
As a matter of accountability, yes I’ve been dedicated to what I’m doing. I’m into this a little over three weeks and missed one day of butt moving, and have had no real desire to go back to my old eating habits. I’ll get into what I’m doing mentally and physically in subsequent posts.
Until I go in to the doctor to get blood work done, I’m not going to be able to evaluate that hypothesis. However, there is a crude secondary measure of whether I’m progressing: body mass (weight). From what I read, there is a connection between being overweight and higher cholesterol levels. I have improved my body mass by around 17 pounds.
The thing that I find surprising is that I actually feel a difference. I feel a little more nimble and lively. I attended the local Renaissance martial arts club last week. I certainly was huffing and puffing, but I never felt the need to rest on the sidelines. What a breakthrough!
